Mexico Diary - 1

Mexico Diary - 1
Packing light - and colourfully :-)

We are off on a travel adventure to Mexico!

I thought I'd drag you along for the ride! I'll be travelling with my son Arif, I've taken a fresh Moleskine along for making my little sketches, and I'll be dusting off this blog. It's been quite a hiatus, and sometimes that's what's called for - a pause. My last foray into the land of colour, notwithstanding, I'm back to my trusty ink pen - I'll make some marginal (and colourful) notes as well.

We all know that memory is relational, pleasure, wounding, joy, love – all relational. All relationships are relational; our very atomic structures are relational. Curious then, why we seem to want to hold on to things - maybe we get drawn to an illusion of fixity (in those relationships). Time is relational like that, and yesterday I was in Vancouver and today I'm in CDMX, and surely way more than 24 hours have passed - waay more. Surely. And it's been waaay less time than the March 3 of my last post. Surely?

Leaving Vancouver.

Arriving in Ciudad de México

So I'm going to be in Mexico with Arif for the next few weeks. We'll be exploring and wandering and turning over the stones to see what's what and where's where, and eating some good food along the way... more about that as we travel. I hope you'll come along for the ride, along with pocket ugly doll (PUD).

bienvenido a la aventura

As always, thanks for reading and indulging!
