Language Machines 2
Between the distraction of other things that call my attention, seeing a shrink and feeling my outsized feelings and sitting with the big questions, and then the incessant barking of the dogs next door - yergh!
They have truly gotten under my skin - 2000 barks a day. I haven't counted, but there are 3 dogs, so it's plausible – I am trying to reframe this as a resonant op[portunity to be with my own internal barking dogs. They did get under my skin, so maybe it stands to reason that there's resonance. It's just an external reminder to keep abiding with my own barking dogs - also 200 times a day.
Last night was a change - a cat fight at 1:30 am - in the house!
I've persevered - and maintained sanity - with some more drawings from my Language Machines readings...
We are made of language

A few sketches to capture thoughts:
- A strip about identity is lurking here - everyone is convinced they are the 'I' of the subject-object-object relationships?
- What if everyone is convinced that they are themselves? C'est moi ! Non, c'est moi... zoot alors - c'est moi, que c'est moi!
- What if characters of a comic strip were all made of letters? Their names? or qualities?
- What if the writing for the entire strip was just on the characters - no speech bubbles? A tiny story to be found, maybe a first reader book?
- Characters = characters
The Marriage of Language and Computation

Language and computation leave humanity in the dust, and elope:

Language is culture:
No such thing as data without implicit cultural residue - and then there's the interpretation of data - via language:

More 'Remainder Humanism' - moving towards a new language theory:
